Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality program across manufacturing and aerospace operations. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust quality management system (QMS), driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and industry regulations, and managing internal and external audits. This role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate across engineering, production, and supply chain teams to deliver consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements and company policies.

Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, including supplier and customer audits; prepare corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans and verify their effectiveness.

Manage the nonconformance process, root cause investigations, and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).

Drive continuous improvement and defect reduction initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.

Oversee quality assurance activities across manufacturing and industrial operations, with specific attention to aerospace component compliance and traceability requirements.

Develop and monitor quality metrics (KPIs), prepare regular reports for senior management, and recommend actions to improve quality performance.

Provide leadership, coaching, and development to QA team members; establish training programs to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements are understood and met.

Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and logistics to ensure product and process design for manufacturability and quality.

Manage relationships with customers and regulatory bodies regarding quality matters, including nonconformance resolution and continuous improvement commitments.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; Masters degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of progressive quality experience, including at least 23 years in a supervisory or management role within manufacturing or aerospace industries.

Demonstrated expertise with ISO 9001 implementation and maintenance; lead auditor certification preferred.

Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

Proven experience conducting and leading internal, supplier, and customer audits; familiarity with AS9100 is a plus.

Hands-on experience with manufacturing quality processes, nonconformance handling, FMEA, statistical process control (SPC), and inspection methods.

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.

Proven ability to analyze quality data, develop corrective actions, and measure improvement through KPIs.

Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is advantageous.

Salary
$80000 - $105000 USD per year
