Assignment Snapshot

Location: Jobs available nationwide and updated daily
Start Dates: As soon as next week or up to eight weeks out
Contract Length: 8 to 26 weeks, with frequent extensions available

What We’re Looking For

Passed NBRC Exam (RRT credential)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
Previous travel experience is a plus

Typical Duties Include

Evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques
Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators, adjusting settings as needed based on patient response and physician orders
Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and interpret pulmonary function test results
Assist with intubation, extubation, and airway management procedures
Educate patients and caregivers on proper use of respiratory equipment, medication administration, and disease management techniques
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and document outcomes to support discharge planning
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to AARC standards, state licensure requirements, and facility compliance protocols
