Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in medical imaging will play a critical role in patient care, ensuring accurate and timely results that contribute to effective medical decisions.

Responsibilities

Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to diagnostic radiology and Ob/Gyn procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
Utilize appropriate aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment during examinations.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and provide insights based on imaging results.
Maintain accurate records of patient information, examination results, and any relevant medical history.
Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
Ensure proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.

Skills

Proficient knowledge of diagnostic radiology, including various imaging techniques.
Strong understanding of basic procedures and related medical practices.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Familiarity with aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Solid foundation in medical imaging principles, including the use of ultrasound equipment.
Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to ultrasound diagnostics.
Proficiency in medical terminology to accurately document findings and collaborate with medical staff.

Qualifications

High School Graduate and Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
0-2 years of experience as Ultrasound Technologist
