Quality Control Inspector (Contract-to-Hire)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join a rapidly growing manufacturing team supporting the semiconductor industry. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth as the organization continues scaling
This role sits within the Quality Control team and supports both incoming and outgoing inspection processes, ensuring products meet strict quality and customer standards prior to release.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections on precision-machined components, subassemblies, and finished goods
- Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections (approx. 2–3 outgoing, 2 incoming daily depending on workflow)
- Complete Final, In-Process, First Article (FAI), and visual inspections
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (ANSI Y14.5)
- Utilize precision measuring tools including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gages
- Go/No-Go gauges
- (CMM experience is a plus)
- Document inspection results using Excel, PDFs, and internal systems
- Review supplier inspection data and support quality sign-offs
- Participate in daily production/quality meetings to align on shipment priorities
- Interface regularly with production, engineering, and shipping teams
- Support shipping/receiving and warehouse functions as needed:
- Assist with crating and packaging
- Operate pallet jack (no forklift required)
- Maintain strong adherence to ISO quality standards and procedures

Incoming vs. Outgoing Inspection BreakdownIncoming Inspection (Higher Skill Level / Pay Based on Experience)
- Hands-on dimensional inspections
- Use of precision measurement tools
- Inspection of materials received from suppliers
Outgoing Inspection (Shipping-Focused)
- Final quality checks before shipment
- More physical work (pallet movement, packaging support)
- Tight process control within shipping operations
- Documentation and quality sign-off prior to release
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of QC or manufacturing experience OR 3+ years in a technical role
- Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic computer skills (Excel, PDF documentation)
- Shipping/receiving or warehouse experience is a plus
Work Environment & Requirements
- PPE required: Steel-toe shoes (must provide your own)
- Cleanroom PPE provided: smocks, hairnets, gloves
- Combination of inspection lab and production floor environment

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
