About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate certified nurse-midwife to be a founding member of a new clinic in the Bay Area’s Peninsula in Northern California. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of midwifery care and make a real difference in the lives of families. In this position you will deliver full-scope midwifery care, including perinatal care and gynecology.

Our perinatal patients are emotionally and educationally supported as they are paired with a Millie Guide (practicing doula) who prepares them for childbirth, postpartum, chest/breastfeeding and newborn care. Our patients also have access to the Millie app, which includes a robust perinatal curriculum to accompany your clinical care. Visit to learn more about our care model.

About you

We are looking for a compassionate and driven midwife who meets all of the following requirements:

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in full-scope midwifery practice (obstetrics and gynecology)
An active Certified Nurse-Midwife license in the state of CA and certification by the AMCB
NRP and BLS certification
Experienced in first trimester transvaginal ultrasound
Skills/training in the following areas are a plus: multilingual, motivational interviewing, lactation certifications, nutrition/diabetes training, cesarean first assist, and/or teaching movement or meditation practices

Responsibilities

Provide full-scope midwifery care at our clinic, hospital partner, and virtually
Provide outpatient gynecology services such as contraception, STIs, vaginitis, annual well person exams, irregular bleeding, preconception and fertility care, and menopause care
Provide medication abortion services and miscarriage management
Collaborate with other team members (e.g., obstetricians, nurses, doulas, nutritionists, therapists, etc.)
Communicate effectively with patients during and between appointments to ensure questions are answered and concerns are addressed by leveraging Millie’s app and technology
Foster relationships with the greater birth and reproductive health community
