Description

Join our team at Akins Ranch, where we prioritize cleanliness and safety in our facility operations. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Sanitor I. This position is integral to maintaining a hygienic environment across various departments, ensuring our commitment to excellence in sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize pressure hoses and appropriate tools to effectively clean and sanitize equipment, including conveyors, grinders, blenders, tables, sinks, and surrounding areas.
Fill out relevant sanitation paperwork accurately and consistently as instructed.
Collaborate with the Sanitation Lead to execute the master sanitation cleaning schedule.
Conduct cleaning duties in dry rooms and product inspection areas as needed.
Assist in the inspection of machines, promptly addressing any cleaning requirements based on audit findings.
Operate cleaning systems and equipment following established guidelines and specifications.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Participate in safety awareness initiatives and contribute to maintaining hygiene standards.
Perform other duties as required.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Standing, walking, and climbing for 8+ hours a day.
Intermediate physical activity.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in sanitation or manufacturing janitorial roles preferred.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to cleanliness standards.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Basic understanding of sanitation chemicals and their proper usage.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
