Full Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two pharmacist positions are currently available at a specialized rehabilitation hospital in Omaha, NE, offering a unique opportunity to work in a focused clinical setting. This contract role calls for adaptable, knowledgeable pharmacists ready to manage complex medication regimens primarily involving TPNs and IV antibiotics in a rehab environment, with no emergency room or obstetrics services.

Responsibilities include:

Managing and verifying medication orders with a focus on TPNs and intravenous antibiotics
Supporting the rehabilitation unit by ensuring accurate and timely pharmaceutical care for patients undergoing therapy up to three hours per shift
Collaborating closely with healthcare teams to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
Utilizing the Altera Sunrise system for documentation and medication management, with training provided if needed

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
Previous experience in hospital pharmacy preferred, especially with TPNs and IV antibiotic protocols
Ability to quickly integrate and contribute within a specialized rehabilitation hospital setting
Competence in using electronic pharmacy systems; willingness to learn Altera Sunrise is essential
Strong communication and organizational skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration

Schedule:

Monday through Friday regular shifts
Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a rotating weekend schedule
