We are seeking a motivated CPA or CPA candidate with 3–5 years of public accounting experience to join our growing team. Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing individual and business tax returns, assisting with financial statement preparation, and communicating directly with clients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities during peak deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax returns
- Assist with tax planning and research for individuals and business clients
- Prepare compiled and/or reviewed financial statements, as applicable
- Work directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide professional support
- Maintain accurate workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm standards
- Assist with bookkeeping, accounting, and year-end closing matters as needed
- Communicate with taxing authorities and respond to client notices when appropriate
- Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff to ensure timely completion of engagements
- Stay current on relevant tax law changes, accounting guidance, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- CPA license or active CPA candidate status strongly preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and accounting services
- Experience preparing both individual and business tax returns
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with tax preparation and research software required
- Experience with the Thomson Reuters Suite is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
