Full Job Description

Overview

The Executive Director provides overall leadership and day-to-day management of the affiliate while working closely with the Board of Directors, volunteers, community partners, and NAMI Ohio. This position is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys nonprofit leadership, community engagement, program development, and relationship building.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operations of NAMI Erie County. - Partner with the Board of Directors to implement strategic priorities and organizational goals. - Coordinate educational programs, support groups, outreach events, and community presentations. - Recruit, train, support, and recognize volunteers. - Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, and local agencies. - Assist with fundraising initiatives, grant reporting, donor stewardship, and membership development. - Manage budgets, financial records, and administrative operations. - Develop newsletters, social media content, and other communications to increase community awareness. - Prepare reports and attend Board of Directors meetings. - Ensure compliance with NAMI affiliate standards, policies, and reporting requirements. - Represent NAMI Erie County professionally at meetings, events, and public engagements.
