Full Job Description

Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional respiratory care to diverse patient populations. In this role, you will assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions across various settings including critical care units, emergency departments, neonatal and pediatric units, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through advanced respiratory therapy techniques, airway management, and ventilator support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact lives every day.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen delivery, aerosol treatments, and medication administration.
Manage and operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory devices.
Monitor vital signs, blood gases, and other physiological parameters to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Respond promptly to cardiac arrest emergencies and participate in critical care procedures such as neonatal resuscitation and airway management.
Document patient care activities accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining detailed medical records.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

Valid licensure or certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from an accredited program.
Proven experience in hospital environments with exposure to critical care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
Proficiency in operating medical equipment including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory devices.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) and medical documentation standards.
Ability to perform airway management techniques and respond effectively during cardiac arrest emergencies.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
Excellent patient assessment skills with a compassionate approach to patient care across all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults.
