Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, personable, and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our high-performing pediatric practice. This is a hybrid role where you will primarily support front desk operations while also receiving cross-training in referrals coordination and insurance authorization processes, offering opportunities for growth within the organization. We are open to training highly motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Operations:

Greet and check in patients and families with professionalism and warmth
Schedule appointments
Answer multi-line phones and direct calls appropriately
Verify insurance eligibility and collect copayments
Support patient flow between front and back office

Referrals Training (Hybrid Role):

Learn to process and track referrals and authorizations
Communicate with insurance plans, specialists, and families
Assist with referral follow-ups and documentation
Support coordination of care for patients

What We’re Looking For

Strong customer service skills and ability to connect with children and families
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, punctual, and a team player
Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows through

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Experience with EMR/EHR systems(preferred, but not required)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Bilingual (preferred)
