Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Lab Scientist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and research initiatives. Your expertise in laboratory techniques, data management, and medical terminology will contribute to accurate and timely results that impact patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, quality, and innovation are paramount.

Duties

Conduct clinical chemistry testing, microbiology testing, hematology, and immunoassays with precision and adherence to CLIA regulations.
Perform specimen collection, processing, blood sampling, venipuncture, and blood banking procedures using aseptic techniques.
Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as PCR machines, flow cytometers, ELISA readers, and other diagnostic instruments.
Manage laboratory data efficiently using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS) and ensure accurate documentation of test results.
Implement laboratory quality control protocols to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability across all tests.
Interpret diagnostic test results accurately for clinical relevance and communicate findings clearly to healthcare providers.
Support research laboratory activities including RNA extraction, DNA isolation, assay development, and clinical trial sample processing.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and CLIA regulations while ensuring proper specimen collection and processing procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize laboratory workflows and improve testing efficiency while ensuring patient safety.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent is preferred.
Proven experience in clinical laboratories with expertise in laboratory procedures such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunoassays, hematology, microbiology testing, and clinical chemistry.
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques including RNA extraction, DNA isolation, blood banking practices, and specimen processing.
Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS) and medical equipment operation is essential.
Excellent data management skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets accurately.
Understanding of CLIA regulations and experience implementing laboratory quality control protocols.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic test interpretation.
Experience working in hospital or clinical settings with proficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
