Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.

Gurnick Academy is seeking an experienced ADN, Assistant Program Director for our ADN Nursing Program at our Gurnick, Fresno, CA Campus.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $120,000 to $135,000 per Annum

Basic Function

The Assistant Program Director of the Associate Degree Nursing Program is responsible for assisting the Program Director in the management of daily academic implementation of the nursing curriculum. This position includes instructional responsibilities and functions under the supervision of the Director of the Registered Nursing Program. Responsible for supervision and coordination of clinical sites and schedules.

Requirements

Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
Three year’s continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care; or equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the board.
A master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing, education or administration
Two years teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs such as associate, baccalaureate, master, or doctoral degree nursing programs. Pre-licensure registered teaching experience at the “Instructor” classification
Preferred knowledge of the educational process at other institutions
Preferred management work experience in a school environment
Working knowledge or experience interfacing with clinical and hospital personnel (Director or Department Head levels)
