Full Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Sleep Technologist, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing sleep disorders. Your expertise in sleep medicine, physiology, and respiratory therapy will help patients achieve restful nights and improved health outcomes. This paid position offers an engaging environment dedicated to patient care, technical excellence, and continuous learning. As a key member of our sleep center, you will utilize your skills to conduct diagnostic evaluations, monitor sleep studies, and support treatment plans with enthusiasm and precision.

Duties

Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort to foster a calm environment.
Set up and calibrate sleep monitoring equipment, ensuring accurate data collection throughout the study.
Monitor patients during sleep sessions, observing physiological parameters such as brain activity, breathing patterns, oxygen levels, and limb movements.
Document vital signs, sleep behaviors, and any abnormalities during the study with meticulous attention to detail.
Analyze collected data post-study to assist physicians in diagnosing sleep disorders like apnea or restless leg syndrome.
Maintain detailed records of each patient's sleep study, including technical notes and observations for accurate reporting.
Assist in patient education regarding sleep hygiene and treatment options based on diagnostic findings.

Requirements

Proven experience working in a sleep center or related healthcare setting with knowledge of sleep medicine practices.
Strong understanding of respiratory therapy techniques and physiology related to sleep disorders.
Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient comfort and safety during studies.
Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to respiratory function and sleep-related anatomy.
Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and empathetically to patients.
