Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Extern, where you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Medical Extern, you will work closely with licensed medical staff to support patient assessments, assist with procedures, and ensure high-quality care delivery. Responsibilities

Assist licensed healthcare providers with patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and documentation review
Document patient information accurately in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support medication administration processes and assist with medication reconciliation as directed by nursing staff
Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to provide compassionate service and ensure understanding of care plans

Requirements

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a nursing program or related healthcare training with clinical rotations experience
Demonstrated clinical training in medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge
Familiarity with medical terminology, human development concepts, and patient assessment techniques
Experience with hospital environments or healthcare settings preferred; strong understanding of HIPAA compliance required
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively while adhering to nursing policy compliance
Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and team collaboration
