Full Job Description

InfusionMed USA is an outpatient infusion therapy clinic in Carrollton, Texas! We are looking for a Part Time to Full Time Nurse practitioner (Part Time position for 2 to 3 Days a week Either Tuesday & Thursday or Monday-Wednesday & Friday) with infusion experience!

Summary :

Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering infusion therapy to patients with chronic diseases & acute medical illnesses and also for people who need IV hydration and other wellness infusions. The role involves administering IV infusions in accordance with clinical protocols, monitoring patients during the infusion process, maintaining accurate electronic medical records, providing clear patient instructions and education regarding infusion protocols, and creating a positive, relaxing, and professional environment. This position requires the ability to start IVs and to work independently while ensuring patient safety and efficient delivery of care. Other responsibilities are consultations for all services that the clinic offers.

Essential Functions :

· IV placement and administration

· Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history Initiates, develops, implements, and oversees infusion plans of treatment; evaluating patient progress towards goals. Evaluates and manages patients and their infusion therapies and follows their course care.

· Consultation with patients

· Monitoring patients during infusion and recovery

· Respond to emergency situations rapidly and confidently, as needed

· Maintain medical records

· Assess and document the health status of the patient. Including SOAP note documentation

· Prepare patients for infusion or injection

· Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines

· Evaluates and manages direct patient care, develops orders for medication regimens, communicates with referring providers, performs treatments, administers medications, and educates patients and families/caregivers. Modifies plan of treatment in response to changing patient status or consultation with referring physician to establish revise patient plan of care.

· Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record (WeInfuse)

· Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use

· Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies

· Reinforce patient education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects

· Work collaboratively with clinical, marketing and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care

· Periodically engage with referring/prescribing providers and other healthcare professionals to demonstrate our quality of services, including the ability to seamlessly manage referrals and provide personalized care that meets the highest standards for every patient.

· Assist with audits and regulatory functions, as needed

· Excellent IV skills, including experience with infusion vitamin therapy

· Friendly, professional, and welcoming approach to patient care with exceptional active listening skills to understand patient needs and concerns

· Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology

· Dedication to improving the quality of patient care through continuous learning and development

· Effective communication skills with patients and other medical staff

· Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm under pressure

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school and current board certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of TX

· Previous experience running a clinic without supervision.

· Previous Infusion and injection experience required.

· Infusion nursing non-oncologic and/or oncologic and/or previous experience in ICU and/or Emergency Room as RN or NP preferred

· Minimum of 1 year APN experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory

· Botox/Filler experience preferred!

· Must also hold a valid BLS/ACLS certification.
