Full Job Description

Job title: Catering Sales Coordinator

Who we are:

Big-Dill Hospitality is a family-owned restaurant group that owns and operates Muchacho Tex-Mex, Whistle Britches, Even Coast, Casa Brasa, Kamila, and many more unique and fantastic dining concepts coming soon in the DFW area. Helmed by Chef Omar Flores, a two-time James Beard Semi-Finalist, Best Chef SW and Dallas Rising Star Chef, this is Chef Flores’ newest passion project several years in the making.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, driven, and client-focused Catering Sales Coordinator to support and grow our catering business. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on catering coordination experience who understands both full-service and drop-off operations, and is eager to contribute to sales growth through relationship-building and proactive outreach.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and confident in managing multiple events simultaneously while delivering exceptional client service. This individual should be self-motivated, responsive, and capable of representing the brand with professionalism and energy.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to catering inquiries in TripleSeat, create proposals, BEOs, and manage event financials
Coordinate all event details including menus, timelines, rentals, staffing, and logistics
Manage both full-service and drop-off catering orders with accuracy and attention to detail
Proactively generate new business through outreach to venues, hotels, corporate clients, and event planners
Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat and referral business
Assist with site visits and client meetings
Work closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown as needed
Coordinate with external vendors including rentals, florals, and AV
Support catering sales goals through consistent outreach and follow-up
Track personal sales activity and assist with reporting and forecasting

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of catering coordination experience
Experience with both full-service catering and drop-off events required
Previous sales experience preferred, but not required
Strong interpersonal skills with a dynamic and outgoing personality
Comfortable with proactive outreach and business development
Tech-savvy; experience with TripleSeat preferred (or similar CRM/event management systems)
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills with a high level of responsiveness and follow-through
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously without sacrificing detail or quality
Professional presence and ability to confidently represent the brand

Physical Demands:

Ability to work in a standing position for 8-10 hours per day
Ability to lift 60lbs (50lbs overhead)
Stand for a long period of time.
Be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull and grasp throughout the day.
Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over telephone.
