Enterprise Data Governance Lead
Retail & Supply Chain Industry
Dallas, TX or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Shape the Future of Enterprise Data
Our client, a leading Retail & Supply Chain organization, is seeking an Enterprise Data Governance Lead to drive the strategy, design, and adoption of enterprise-wide data governance practices.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where you'll partner with business and technology executives to establish trusted, scalable, and compliant data practices across customer, product, merchandising, supply chain, and analytics domains. What You'll Do

Lead the development and execution of enterprise data governance strategy, policies, standards, and operating models.
Establish governance processes that improve data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
Partner with data owners, business leaders, architects, and engineering teams to drive governance adoption.
Define and implement metadata management, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management practices.
Advance data quality and master data management (MDM) initiatives across the organization.
Support enterprise data modernization, analytics, AI, and cloud transformation programs.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on governance, compliance, risk management, and data strategy.
Champion a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

What We're Looking For
Required
✔️ 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Strategy, Data Architecture, or related disciplines
✔️ Experience designing, implementing, or maturing enterprise data governance programs
✔️ Strong knowledge of data quality, metadata management, stewardship, governance frameworks, and compliance practices
✔️ Experience partnering across business and technology teams to drive adoption and organizational change
✔️ Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
✔️ Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Preferred
Experience within Retail, Consumer Products, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, eCommerce, or related industries
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives
Hands-on experience with governance platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar solutions
Exposure to cloud data platforms, analytics, AI, or enterprise data modernization initiatives
