Advertising Account Manager for a Growing National Agency

Our agency is growing! We are a national advertising agency specializing in the 55+ consumer space seeking to hire a senior-level, advertising agency account manager.

Founded in Seattle, post-pandemic we’re now fully cloud-enabled, running our business without a physical headquarters and working with a national team that spans from Wilmington, Delaware to Charlotte, North Carolina to Portland, Oregon to Sedona, Arizona. Our team partners with senior living communities to drive occupancy, create brand awareness and change the perception of traditional "senior living.” As a boutique agency, each team member takes ownership of both strategy and execution.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager/Account Director to lead and manage key client relationships in the senior living sector. In this role, you will serve as the primary strategic advisor and day-to-day contact for your clients, collaborating with C-suite executives while also handling the execution of marketing initiatives. Since our agency operates without extensive support layers, this position requires a blend of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on management.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in account management, marketing strategy or consulting (preferably in senior living or a related field) with 5+ years of bona fide advertising agency account executive experience [required]
A Bachelor's degree or higher
Excellent English grammar in both speaking and writing
Proven track record of helping your clients to find solutions, innovating solutions and delivering results
Having a naturally positive attitude, able to inspire and motivate others to do their best
Well-versed in the full spectrum of marketing and public relations tactics that deliver results
Advanced proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office software
Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools
Demonstrated aptitude in learning new technology for application in a professional environment
Ability to work independently with a drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
Client communication and problem-solving experience with a solution-oriented mindset
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Experience excelling within fast-paced, high-energy environments
Ability to be on-camera for all internal and client-facing Zoom meetings
Must have availability to work within West Coast business hours (PST/PDT), regardless of location

Responsibilities Client Strategy & Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for senior living clients, ensuring strong, trust-based relationships with executive teams.
Lead the onboarding of new clients, conducting focus groups, community team interviews and market research to develop strategic insights.
Develop and present marketing strategies that align with client objectives, focusing on census growth and brand reputation.
Act as a proactive consultant, identifying client challenges and opportunities, then crafting tailored marketing and advertising solutions.
Stay informed on aging services, industry trends and competitor activity to advise clients on new opportunities.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

Develop compelling brand messaging and positioning strategies that differentiate each community.
Create integrated marketing plans, including digital, traditional, PR and sales enablement tactics.
Oversee the execution of marketing initiatives, collaborating with creative, digital and production teams to bring campaigns to life.
Ensure all deliverables align with brand standards and client preferences before publishing or presentation.
Monitor campaign performance and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize results.
Lead the creation and presentation of reports, results and strategic recommendations to clients.

Project & Budget Management

Manage project timelines, ensuring all work is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Collaborate with internal teams on traffic sheets and workflows to track progress and deadlines.
Work with the finance team to review invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.
Identify and propose additional services or project opportunities to expand client engagement.

Event & Thought Leadership Support

Provide guidance on event strategy, including speaker coordination, scheduling and logistics (as applicable to specific client contracts).
Collaborate on advertising content creation, including messaging for digital, print and multimedia campaigns.
Represent the agency and clients at key industry events, as needed.
