Full Job Description

VIA Satellite, Inc. is a premier DISH retailer and regional service provider, delivering satellite television, internet, and smart home solutions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to DISH services, our teams install and support a variety of connectivity solutions, including Starlink internet systems.

We are seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and support key accounting functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining accuracy while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and delivering timely, accurate results, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll using third party proprietary software
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Process weekly timesheets
Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare related reports
Maintain vendor records
Maintain all aspects of accounts payable and assist with month-end closing
Coordinate with HR and management to resolve payroll and accounting inquiries
Maintains accounts payable and payroll records
Maintains and processes garnishment records

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
2+ years of payroll and accounting experience
Proficiency with QuickBooks payroll and accounting software and MS Office
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and accounting principles
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
