Pet Waste Removal Route Technician — Part-Time
Mountain View Pet Waste Removal is looking for one dependable person to join our growing field service team.
This is not an office job. You will spend your day outdoors, driving a scheduled route, working independently, staying active, and helping customers keep their properties clean and enjoyable.
We are not looking for just anyone who needs a paycheck. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, keeps their word, notices details, and can be trusted to represent a small local business professionally.

Once trained, you will be trusted to manage your route responsibly. You will have established procedures, clear expectations, and direct access to the owner when you need support.
Schedule
- Thursdays and Fridays
- Approximately 10–16 hours per week
- Daytime hours
- Consistent weekly routes
- Additional hours may become available as the company grows
You must be reliably available on both Thursdays and Fridays.
Compensation
- $17–$19 per hour
- $0.76 per mile reimbursement for approved business mileage
- Paid training
- Performance-based raises may be available

What You Will Do
- Drive a scheduled service route using your own reliable vehicle
- Visit residential and commercial customer properties
- Walk and inspect each designated service area thoroughly
- Remove and securely bag dog waste
- Transport securely bagged dog waste in your personal vehicle during the route
- Dispose of collected waste at the designated location
- Clean and disinfect tools and footwear between properties
- Confirm gates are securely closed before leaving
- Take required service and gate photographs
- Complete service documentation through a smartphone
- Notify customers according to company procedures
- Report access problems, unusual yard conditions, safety concerns, or customer issues promptly
- Keep company tools and supplies organized and maintained
- Follow the established route efficiently while maintaining service quality

Reliability is the most important part of this position. Customers depend on us to arrive consistently, and your route cannot simply be postponed because you do not feel like working that day.
You must be someone who:
- Arrives on time and ready to work
- Follows through on commitments
- Works carefully without constant supervision
- Pays attention to fence lines, decks, shrubs, hills, and other easily missed areas
- Accepts feedback without becoming defensive
- Communicates immediately when there is a problem
- Takes responsibility for mistakes and helps correct them
- Treats customer property, pets, and privacy respectfully
- Can follow established systems instead of creating a different process at every property
- Works efficiently but does not rush through yards carelessly
Physical and Working Conditions
This is active outdoor work. Applicants should understand the actual conditions before applying.
You must be comfortable:
- Handling and transporting securely bagged dog waste
- Working around dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Walking on grass, hills, mud, snow, and uneven ground
- Repeatedly bending, squatting, reaching, and walking
- Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds
- Working outdoors in heat, cold, light rain, and changing weather
- Driving approximately 100 miles during a typical route day
- Working alone for most of the day
Someone who strongly prefers an office environment or dislikes outdoor work will probably not enjoy this position.

- Reliable availability every Thursday and Friday
- Ability to pass a background check and motor-vehicle-record review
- Comfortable transporting securely bagged dog waste in your vehicle
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position

Hiring Process
Qualified applicants will complete a brief initial screening. Selected candidates will then be invited to a paid job evaluation so both sides can determine whether the work and company are a good fit.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
