Full Job Description

Manhattan Mental Health Counseling is a high-growth, fully remote psychotherapy practice built on evidence-based care, measurable outcomes, and clinical excellence. We believe exceptional therapy can be clearly defined, taught, measured, and continuously improved without losing its humanity.

We are seeking a Remote New York Licensed Clinical Director (LMHC or LMHC-D) to build and lead the clinical foundation of our organization. This is an opportunity for a proven leader who has designed scalable clinical programs, established quality standards, and developed systems that improve both clinician performance and patient outcomes. In this role, you'll define what exceptional care looks like, mentor clinical leaders, leverage data and technology to drive continuous improvement, and foster a high-performing remote culture rooted in accountability and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Quality: Lead quality assurance, chart audits, compliance, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) to ensure exceptional virtual care.
Measurement-Based Care: Build and oversee MBC programs, dashboards, KPIs, and outcome metrics to improve clinical and patient outcomes.
Clinical Programs: Develop scalable supervision, training, competency, and quality initiatives that support clinician growth.
Clinical Leadership: Lead supervisors, case consultations, and peer reviews to maintain consistent, evidence-based care.
Performance Management: Coach clinicians, set clear expectations, provide feedback, and manage performance.
Risk & Compliance: Serve as the senior clinical authority on ethical, regulatory, and complex clinical matters.
Innovation: Foster a high-performing remote culture while leveraging technology and AI to enhance clinical quality.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted New York LMHC or LMHC-D license.
5+ years of post-licensure clinical experience.
3+ years leading clinical teams in a group practice, behavioral health, or healthcare organization.
Experience building scalable clinical programs, supervision models, or quality frameworks.
Strong background in implementing Measurement-Based Care and using data to improve outcomes.
Proven ability to lead supervisors and large clinical teams through systems and processes.
Deep knowledge of clinical operations, documentation, ethics, risk management, and New York regulations.
Confident, accountable leader with strong coaching, decision-making, and performance management skills.
Passion for innovation and using technology, including AI, to strengthen clinical care.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 annually (DOE)
