KMBS Solutions is searching for a SharePoint Architect / Engineer that has the overall responsibility of performing SharePoint design and development duties using industry best practices. Candidate must be a subject-matter expert in installing and configuring Microsoft SharePoint Platform in small, mid-sized and large farm deployments. Also have the ability to document/review SharePoint application business requirements and provide project scope and effort estimations. Must have demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision-maker discussions related to ROI and business process improvement.
The Junior SharePoint Developer/Engineer will play a central role in the complete solution lifecycle support including: development efforts, designing/supporting solutions and envisioning follow up work. The implementation role may include infrastructure architecture, solution development, customization, integration as well as technical management of your project.
The role requires both broad technological knowledge and the ability to implement SharePoint solutions by mapping common customer business problems, to end-to-end technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will provide support to our operations teams with best practices for architectural design, understand the Microsoft SharePoint solution stack, and have a thorough understanding of enterprise application integration involving Business Process and Forms, Business Intelligence, Collaboration, CRM, Intelligent Information Management, and Portals.
This person will assist with architecture and design reviews for SharePoint projects that focus on planning, deploying, and targeting new or significant modifications of existing enterprise SharePoint implementations.
The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with strong national team of developers, IT admins, Project Managers and SharePoint System Architects.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft’s SharePoint Technologies (2010-2019, O365) and supporting technologies including:
- General understanding of Windows IT infrastructure set up and familiarity of security architecture concepts (Kerberos, FBA, Claims, Token Service are a plus).
- Competence with Active Directory on Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 servers. Windows 7, 8 and 10 clients.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, InfoPath, Workflow, PowerShell and SharePoint Designer is a plus
- Understanding of multi-tier client-server architectures
- Understanding of Office 365 tenants
- Basic SharePoint On-Line architecture
- Strong understanding of Nintex Forms and Workflow is mandatory
- Assistance with analyzing performance issues within both the SharePoint applications and corresponding databases and make recommendations for improvements, as well as the overall optimization of the SharePoint 2010-2019 environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot OS, network issues, TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls and VM’s
- Familiarity with Azure infrastructure
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Platform and solution stack along with previous experience in SharePoint development platforms, Portals, Workflow, Forms
- Experience in migrating content from non-SharePoint platform to the SharePoint 2010-2019 platform and expertise in 3rd party migration tools preferred
- Integration of 3rd party applications into SharePoint such as Nintex, AvePoint, ShareGate, Metalogix Migration tools, Digital signatures (Adobe, OneSpan, DocuSign, Document Capture software (Kofax, PSIGen)
- Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers, having a high degree of contact with other employees, clients and prospects.
- Contribute to development team growth through strong team interactions, be comfortable accepting feedback, positive and negative, and be driven by both time constraints and a personal commitment to quality.
- Assist with functional design documents, translate the business requirements into system requirements, create a prototype of recommended solutions, demo to the users, and implement the solution.
- Communicate Conceptual and Detail Designs to Client and Development Team
- Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all SharePoint servers, equipment, and software related to SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019 infrastructure.
- Assertive with customer communications.
- Implementation of SharePoint IIM solutions.
- Manage customer relationships by communicating SharePoint architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues.
- Review client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; assist in preparing time and cost estimates.
- Strong customer interaction skills and ability to understand and document customer needs from a business solutions perspective.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team or in a lead role.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work effectively on multiple priorities with firm delivery dates.
- Ability to document projects (MS Project) and update progress
- Effective communication skills within information technology and business environments.
- Solid understanding of SharePoint 2010-2019 Enterprise/Standard, SharePoint Online technology platforms.
- 3 – 5 years of technical design and documentation, both technical and end user focused
- 3 – 5 years of experience in defining SharePoint farm architecture, including infrastructure, service applications and farm maintenance.
- Knowledge of SharePoint OnPrem and OnLine security, backup / recovery processes, configuration, administration and support of SharePoint farms.
- Strong experience troubleshooting SharePoint performance, configuration and application issues.
- Strong desire to learn a variety of IT disciplines, either through self-study, collaboration with other teams and/or 3rd party services.
