The Opportunity

Description

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite - 43215)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Permanent Conversion)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Role Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Consultant to join our team in Columbus. This role is critical in managing high-value goods and services, leading complex RFX events, and driving category strategies that align with broader business goals.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and execute market, supplier, and spend analysis.
Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, negotiate, and manage complex contracts, focusing on pricing, KPIs, and risk mitigation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations) to ensure procurement alignment.
Supplier Relations: Build and maintain high-value supplier partnerships to ensure delivery and logistics excellence.
Category Strategy: Support the development of category-specific strategies to maximize value and compliance.

Experience Required for Your Success

Must haves:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (OR 6+ years of relevant professional experience).
Experience: 5+ years of US procurement, sourcing, and supply chain category management
Industry Experience: Prior US experience in Utilities, Manufacturing, or Construction.
Contract Management: Prior experience with drafting and reviewing contracts
Negotiation: Proven track record leading supplier negotiations and developing strategy.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple high-priority sourcing projects simultaneously.
Compliance: Deep understanding of contract administration and governance.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for executive-level stakeholder reporting.
Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders).
