Our lab location in Gainesville, FL is hiring full-time Process Support Tech/Laboratory Technician. (40 hours/week plus benefits included).

Position Summary
The Laboratory Technician (Process Support) is primarily responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining an automated pouching system used to package microbiological media for irradiation and distribution to Deibel Laboratories locations. This position also assists with inventory management, shipping, equipment maintenance, and occasional laboratory support activities during production downtime.
Primary Responsibilities

Operate and monitor an automated pouching unit used to package microbiological media.

Load production materials and ensure continuous operation of the pouching system.

Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment.

Package finished products for shipment to irradiation facilities and coordinate the receipt and distribution of returned materials.

Prepare shipping materials and package products for internal and external shipment.

Receive, move, and organize incoming raw materials and finished products.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock of production supplies.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.

Provide support for laboratory operations (e.g., media preparation, dish preparation, and other laboratory tasks) during production downtime as needed.

Work independently while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or laboratory experience preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and maintain production equipment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:

Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory.

Safety equipment of gloves, laboratory coat, and eyeglasses may need to be worn depending on the testing process.

Extended time spent in a standing position.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and 10 – 15lbs repeatedly.
