Administrative Assistant (Event and Fundraising Support)

Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc.

Gainesville, Florida

Three Rivers Legal Services Inc. (TRLS) has an immediate opening for a part-time Administrative

Assistant to work in our Gainesville Administrative Office. The Administrative Assistant would

work part-time 25 hours a week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position. The

Administrative Assistant would support TRLS events and fundraising activities. A desire to assist

low-income clients and underserved populations is essential. TRLS is a nonprofit law firm that

provides free legal assistance to low-income clients, the elderly and underserved populations.

TRLS is dedicated to the provision of quality legal assistance and to community empowerment

through preventive legal education and outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates in the TRLS Fundraising Committee and assists with the planning and

coordination of fundraising events.

Works with the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee to ensure events are well-

organized and mission focused.

Assists the Development and Communications Manager with the production of event

materials, such as invitations, sponsorship packets, programs, and signage.

Assists with identifying, soliciting, and securing event sponsorships.

Assists with securing location and vendors for fundraising events.

Assists with event registration, attendee management, and maintaining event databases.

Prepares thank you letters post-event and coordinates with Development and

Communications Manager to ensure sponsor recognition on social media platforms.

Works with the Executive Director to plan in-house events such as staff and management

retreats.

Performs such other duties as may reasonably be requested.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or its equivalent.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Outgoing and comfortable meeting new people.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently and as part of team.

Ability to lift 20 – 30 lbs. to assist with event setup as needed.

Ability to work occasionally in the evenings and weekends.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Canva.

Access to automobile during working hours; insured and licensed to drive.

Salary and Benefits. Salary range is $15 -$21 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits

package includes:

Paid time off including 20 vacation days, 12 sick days, 12 office holidays, and 3 personal

holidays.

Health insurance, FSA Health and Dependent Care, short term disability, and employee

assistance plan.

Employer paid $50,000 life insurance policy with option for employees to purchase

additional coverage.

403(b) retirement plan with 5% employer contribution after 2 years of service.

Voluntary options of vision, dental, and long-term disability.
