WE’RE HIRING: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – CHILDCARE CENTER

Pre-K Preparatory Learning Academy is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Assistant Director to join our leadership team.
We are a nonprofit childcare center serving children from early childhood through school age, including a Georgia Pre-K program. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and families but is also ready to take on the administrative and leadership responsibilities involved in operating a quality childcare program.
What You’ll Help With
- Supporting the Director with the daily operation of the center
- Supervising, supporting, and providing guidance to teachers and staff
- Maintaining licensing, training, classroom, and employee documentation
- Assisting with Georgia DECAL/Bright from the Start compliance
- Supporting Georgia Pre-K and other program requirements
- Communicating professionally with parents and families
- Helping with staff scheduling and classroom coverage
- Monitoring classrooms for safety, quality, ratios, and appropriate practices
- Assisting with enrollment, attendance, records, and administrative paperwork
- Helping coordinate staff training, meetings, special programs, and center events
- Addressing day-to-day concerns and helping find practical solutions
- Stepping into classrooms when needed
- Helping maintain a positive, professional, organized, and supportive work environment
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous childcare, preschool, education, or youth-development experience
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience
- Knowledge of Georgia childcare licensing/DECAL requirements is strongly preferred
- Georgia PDS account/credentials are a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
- Degree, diploma, TCC, CDA, or other early childhood credential is a plus

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
