SUMMARY: The Transformative Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring transformative professional development experiences are available for ELCAC Contracted Providers to support implementation of evidence-informed practices in classrooms. This position provides Professional Development training opportunities, direct mentoring, technical assistance and coaching to early care and education professional(s) and other coaches utilizing adult learning practices. This role includes supporting staff involved in training and quality initiatives, coaching childcare providers using the Practice-Based Coaching model, managing project timelines, evaluating performance outcomes, and preparing data-driven reports and presentations. Once the foundation has been laid for implementation with integrity, the TPD Coordinator will actively work with the Programs Department (including other coaches) of the Early Learning Coalition of Alachua to offer coaching and professional development opportunities for early childhood education and care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of experience in early childcare, or an equivalent combination of education. Experience in early child-care education, including classroom teaching and the delivery of professional development and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of developmentally appropriate and evidence-informed teaching practices
· Classroom teaching experience with young children birth through age 5
· Experience in coaching and mentoring professionals, or previous experience implementing practice-based coaching is preferred
· Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
· Strong time management and Planning skills.
· Demonstrated strength in organization and efficiency in meeting deadlines
· Familiarity with federal, state and local program guidelines, regulations and procedures for Head Start Florida Voluntary Pre-K Program, Florida’s School Readiness Program, and Florida Department of Children and Families State Child Care Licensing requirements
· Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Zoom functions for Presenting Trainings.
Related experience may substitute for the required education with approval from the Chief Programs Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Professional Developmentand Technical Assistance: Lead the design, implementation, coordination, and delivery of professional development initiatives, training opportunities, mentoring, technical assistance, coaching, workshops, and meetings for early care and education professionals, program administrators, TPD Coaches, and ELCAC staff, utilizing evidence-based adult learning practices to create and facilitate evidence-informed professional development content.
· Teachstone Certification and Training Coordination: Obtain and annually maintain Teachstone observer certifications for Infant, Toddler and Pre-K as available through DEL. Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, procurement of supplies, and resource distribution as available for Teachstone Interactions Essentials certification (formerly CLASS Group Coaching/MMCI), as available, to provide CLASS-related training and professional development opportunities for providers and teachers
· Coaching & Fidelity Monitoring: Support the TPD Lead and practice-based coaching initiatives through implementation of the Anita Zucker Center coaching model, fidelity monitoring, and observations of teachers and program administrators; provide support to TPD Coaches, programs staff, and contracted providers regarding professional development, quality initiatives, training, benchmarks, accountability, and improvement efforts for low-performing and probationary SR/VPK providers, when needed.
· Program Assessment Responsibility: Conduct classroom and program observations to monitor CLASS implementation fidelity. Support teaching and coaching practices, perform informal assessments, serve as a backup for DOE/DEL-required Program Assessments, and assist with monthly assessments through the Quality Performance System (QPS) and WELS.
· Data Collection & Reporting: Create, track, maintain, and analyze data from ELCAC-contracted childcare sites, coaching participants, TPD and ELC Coach fidelity activities; Coordinate with the ELCAC’s Chief Programs Officer (CPO), Provider Services & Quality Manager, and the Lead TPD Coach to maintain related documentation (logs, forms, agreements, training records, etc.). Develop spreadsheets, reports, infographics, grant reports, county invoices, board updates, and audit materials to support accountability, compliance, and continuous quality improvement.
· Engage in community outreach and partner communications to support service coordination, promote ELCAC programs, disseminate marketing materials, and represent ELCAC at stakeholder meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation and current automobile liability insurance policy and be willing to travel to all areas of Alachua County to perform required tasks.
· ELCAC considers all employee positions as Positions of Special Trust according to 110.1127 F.S. It is likely that any employee at one time or another will meet children for 15 hours or more a week or have access to confidential information. The selected candidate will be required to submit and pass a Level II background screening and pre-employment drug screen prior to their date of hire.
