Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook/Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This pivotal role combines hands-on food preparation with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation are consistently met. As a key player in our kitchen, you will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and contribute to menu planning and food management in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Your expertise will help elevate our culinary offerings and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

Lead food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork and efficiency
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
Enforce strict food safety sanitizing procedures and uphold health regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment
Assist with menu planning and recipe development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with culinary trends
Oversee shift management, coordinating staff schedules to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Support catering events and banquet functions by coordinating food production and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities
Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with a focus on team management and training
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
Experience with inventory management, cost control, and food production processes
Background in banquet service, catering, or large-scale food service operations is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate team members
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments is a plus
