Job Title: RN – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: Gainesville, GA 30501
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (3x12)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients recovering from surgical procedures. The RN will monitor patients during recovery, manage post-operative complications, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Requirements

Active RN GA License
PACU experience required
Experience caring for post-surgical patients

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery.
Perform comprehensive post-operative assessments.
Manage pain, airway, and hemodynamic stability.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as ordered.
Identify and respond to post-operative complications.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team.
Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge instructions.
Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
