Full Job Description

You must currently hold an active LGSW, LICSW, LGPC, or LPC license in Washington, DC and be willing to obtain licensure in Maryland and Virginia.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Therapist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals achieve positive mental health outcomes and is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care.

This is a hybrid position that includes both telehealth and in-person services.

Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum of 25 billable client hours per week.
Establish positive and trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy services.
Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners when appropriate.
Make referrals to outside resources and specialists as needed.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with all ethical and professional standards.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and other practice-related activities.
Demonstrate cultural humility by respecting diversity and incorporating each client's and family's values, beliefs, and cultural background into treatment planning and service delivery.
Clearly explain the therapist's role, responsibilities, client rights, confidentiality practices, and mandated reporting requirements during initial and ongoing interactions.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely client records in accordance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements.
Complete all clinical documentation within required timeframes, preferably within 48 hours of service delivery.
Meet productivity and billing expectations established annually by the organization.
Understand and comply with all federal and state regulations regarding confidentiality, protected health information, client records, and professional correspondence.
Maintain monthly service statistics and submit reports as requested by the Manager or Program Director.
Participate in case consultations, case reviews, and interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Attend and participate in organization-wide, division-wide, departmental, and committee meetings, as well as trainings and conferences as assigned.
Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities and participate in committees that support organizational success.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of TrueYou Center.

QualificationsRequired

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Active DC license (LGSW, LICSW, LGPC, or LPC).
Willingness to obtain Maryland and Virginia licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

Experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families.
Experience providing telehealth services.
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
