Our full‑service salon in Olde Towne Gaithersburg is seeking a skilled Hair Braider & Loctician to join our creative, high‑energy team. If you specialize in protective styles, loc maintenance, and precision braiding, this role gives you the freedom to showcase your artistry while building a loyal clientele in a busy, walk‑friendly location.

About the Role

As a Hair Braider & Loctician, you’ll provide expert braiding and loc services with a focus on quality, speed, and client comfort. You’ll work independently within a supportive salon environment that values professionalism, creativity, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Protective Styling — Box braids, knotless braids, cornrows, feed‑ins, stitch braids, twists, and specialty braid designs
Loc Services — Starter locs, retwists, loc repair, loc styling, and maintenance
Client Consultation — Recommend styles based on hair type, lifestyle, and scalp health
Salon Standards — Maintain a clean, organized station and uphold hygiene requirements
Trend Awareness — Stay updated on new techniques, products, and styling methods

Qualifications

Strong technical skill in braiding and loc work
Ability to work efficiently with clean, neat parting and consistent tension
Professional, reliable, and client‑focused
Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team setting
Experience with natural hair care is a plus
