What You Will Be Doing:
As the Clinical Manager, you will oversee the Psychiatry & Psychology Departments at the Dubuque Health Plaza in Dubuque, Iowa. You will be responsible for the management of staff, delivery of patient care & supporting activities.
You will be working with physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff to ensure quality care. You will be responsible for the management and development of psychiatry and psychology staff, payroll, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with clinic and regulatory guidelines. You will help grow and develop the department and positively initiate and lead change.
What Skills You Bring:

Degree in related Behavioral Health field or Business Management, RN degree with active IA licensure with two years of clinic nursing experience OR a minimum of five years’ experience in a clinical management role required

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the organization and coordination of delivering quality patient care within the department. May include assisting with direct patient care.

Perform managerial responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to: preparing annual budgets, attending meetings, collecting/compiling data and preparing reports. Facilitate medical records management, results, data entry and business office activities, including establishing appropriate coding and charging mechanisms for the department.

Manage selection, training, development, performance evaluation, and performance issues for direct reports. Prepare schedule and assign work to assure adequate staffing levels to deliver a high level of patient service.

Interpret and comply with regulations, policies, and procedures, which may include but is not limited to: completing incident reports, evaluating safety of equipment, credentialing in area of responsibility, and enforcing CLIA regulations governing laboratory functions.

Complete all other assigned projects and duties.

Knowledge & Skills:
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution OR Business Management Degree with healthcare experience.
Experience: Five to ten years of similar or related experience. Management experience preferred, business management a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, and/is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
