## About Spadeberry
Spadeberry is a profitable software company that helps eBay resellers create and publish better listings faster. Our AI generates optimized titles, descriptions, item specifics, and pricing suggestions from photos — then publishes directly to eBay, Depop, Poshmark, and Mercari. We handle background removal, category matching, and publishing so resellers can focus on sourcing and shipping.
We're profitable and growing — entirely on word-of-mouth, with zero marketing spend. That's the whole pitch. We've grown entirely on word-of-mouth from a community — eBay resellers, thrift flippers, estate-sale pickers — that is unusually active, opinionated, and influential online. We want to pour fuel on that. Growth is our binding constraint, not the product.
You'd own acquisition end to end: paid, organic, SEO, partnerships, and anything else that moves the number.

## What you'll do
This is a builder role, not a manager role. There's no team under you on day one — you identify the channels, run the experiments, and own the results. As those results justify it, you build the team around you.
**Paid acquisition:**
- Identify and test paid channels — Facebook/Instagram ads targeting eBay sellers and resellers, YouTube pre-rolls against reseller content, Google search against listing-software keywords
- Build the creative brief and work with our Video Creator/Editor and Social Media Manager on ad assets
- Own the budget, the targeting, the creative rotation, and the reporting
**SEO and content:**
- Own our search presence — we should rank for every meaningful "eBay listing software," "eBay seller tools," and listing-generation keyword
- Build and execute a content plan targeting reseller search intent (blog posts, comparison pages, how-to guides)
- Work with the content team to make sure organic and social are feeding SEO
**Partnerships and affiliate:**
- The eBay reseller world is built around YouTube channels, TikTok creators, and Facebook groups. You know who the influential ones are (or you learn fast) and you build real relationships with them.
- Manage and grow our affiliate program — structure, outreach, activation, compliance
**Lifecycle and conversion:**
- Work with the Customer Ops Lead on activation and retention emails — what happens after someone signs up, what brings lapsed users back
- Track and improve the funnel: trial → paid → retained

## What you'll bring
**Required:**
- You've owned a growth function — not contributed to one, owned one. You've run paid campaigns with a real budget and you have results you can point to.
- Real experience with Facebook/Instagram advertising — creative testing, audience segmentation, ROAS optimization. This is the most likely paid channel for us and you need to know it cold.
- You understand SEO beyond "keywords matter." You've done on-page optimization, built content programs, watched rankings move.
- Data-first. You set up tracking before you run a test. You know what you measured, what moved, and what didn't.
- Strong written communication — you'll be writing ad copy, email subject lines, and partnership pitches.
- Willingness to be in-office in Webb City, MO (near Joplin) full-time. No relocation support is provided.
**Nice-to-have:**
- **Experience marketing to eBay sellers, resellers, or the e-commerce/thrift community.** If you understand the audience — the culture, the language, the creators they follow — you'll move faster than someone who has to learn it. This is a significant edge.
- Experience at a SaaS company or software product
- Familiarity with AI tools for creative, copy, and targeting research
- Experience managing affiliates or influencer partnerships
- Google Ads or YouTube advertising experience
- Email marketing platform experience (Customer.io, Loops, Klaviyo)
**We don't care about:**
- Marketing degrees or certifications
- Big-agency background — we want someone who ran the channel themselves, not someone who managed people who ran it
- Previous experience in a company our exact size — if you've owned growth somewhere and moved the number, that counts

- Work directly with the founder — no brand review committee, no legal approval queue for ads. You pitch, we decide, you ship.
- In-office at our Webb City, MO headquarters (in the Joplin area)
- You'll work alongside our Social Media Manager and Video Creator/Editor — a small but coordinated content and growth operation
- $80,000–$100,000 base salary based on experience + 2 weeks PTO + paid federal holidays
