Full Job Description

In-Home Caregiver

SILK In-Home Care
Gallipolis, Ohio 45631
$15–$16.50 per hour
Part-time / PRN

SILK is building a small, dependable caregiver team for Gallipolis and surrounding Gallia County communities. Easily apply on our in house application apply.silkllcoh.com

We are locally operated and owner-led. You will know Susan and Ehren, you will receive clear expectations, and you will have someone available when a problem comes up. If you work hard for SILK, SILK will work hard for you.

We will also be honest about available hours. Assignments depend on client needs, location, schedule, required qualifications, transportation, and caregiver-client fit. We will not promise full-time hours before those hours exist.

What you may do

Assist respectfully with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping and laundry
Provide companionship and meaningful attention
Assist with ordinary mobility and assigned daily routines
Follow the care plan and document visits accurately
Report changes, concerns, missed tasks, or safety problems promptly
Protect the client’s privacy, dignity, property, and choices

This is hands-on, relationship-based work. It is not a job where someone sits on a phone while the person needing care waits.

What SILK needs from you

Dependability and honest communication
Reliable transportation to client homes in Gallia County
A valid driver’s license and required vehicle insurance
A working smartphone for scheduling and visit documentation
Willingness to provide personal care when assigned and trained
Ability to pass required background and exclusion checks
Caregiving experience or certification is helpful but is not required for every assignment
Willingness to complete all required orientation, training, and competency checks before providing care
