VHCC, LLC is seeking an energetic and results-driven Aggregate Sales & Quality Control Manager to lead sales efforts while ensuring the quality and consistency of our aggregate and asphalt products. This position combines business development, customer relationship management, technical knowledge of aggregate materials, and quality control oversight to support the continued growth of our company.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with experience in construction materials, aggregates, asphalt products, or related industries who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Schedule
- Typical work hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Full-time position
- Occasional evening and weekend work as business demands require
- Some overnight travel required

Position Summary
The Aggregate Sales & Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, overseeing aggregate quality control processes, and ensuring customers receive the highest level of service from initial contact through project completion.
This position works closely with the General Manager, production personnel, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and industry standards while supporting the continued growth of VHCC, LLC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell aggregate materials, asphalt products, and related services offered by VHCC, LLC.
- Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, trade associations, and industry relationships.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through outstanding service and communication.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, sales presentations, and project documentation.
- Travel to customer locations, project sites, and industry events as needed.
- Represent VHCC professionally at trade association meetings and community functions.
- Stay informed of market conditions, pricing trends, and industry developments.
Project Coordination
- Manage projects from initial customer inquiry through final completion.
- Coordinate scheduling with operations and dispatch teams.
- Create project maps and material plans when necessary.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout each project.
- Ensure successful project closeout and customer satisfaction.
Quality Control
- Develop a thorough understanding of aggregate testing procedures and quality control standards.
- Monitor material quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve quality concerns.
- Assist in maintaining testing records and quality documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
Operational Support
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Assist other departments as needed to ensure efficient business operations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of aggregate, construction materials, asphalt, or related industry experience
- Strong understanding of aggregate products and quality control practices preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Proven negotiation and sales skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, alcohol screening, and background check
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position requires work in both professional office settings and active construction, quarry, and production environments.
Employees must be able to:
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Walk on uneven terrain and active job sites
- Climb stairs and ladders when necessary
- Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead
- Safely operate company vehicles and travel to customer locations and project sites
- Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Safely work around heavy equipment, machinery, moving vehicles, dust, noise, and other typical construction-related conditions
