80% Spanish, 20% English written and spoken language
Capitalizes on the large influence that nursery rhymes have on early literacy and numeracy

**This is a Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried) position. Therefore, the primary schedule will be 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, but Office Assistant may be occasionally be asked to work alternative hours. This position is NOT ELIGIBLE FOR OVERTIME

Office Assistant Job Description

The Office Assistant will oversee daily center and program operations by:

Ensuring that center facility is safe for children and complies with state and local laws and regulations, never leaving the center out of ratio
Manage staff schedule to ensure all classrooms have coverage
Report staff time sheet to payroll manager
Conducting center tours for prospective parents
Assist the Director with organizing center-wide events and activities
Assist with EXCELS
Managing and organizing package deliveries
Monitor and respond to all in-person and telecommunication inquires
Completing ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
Maintaining positive relationships with children, staff and parents
Working well as a member of collaborative team focused on positive outcomes
Participating in annual calendar events
Completing other duties as assigned
Real-time problem solving (strangers in our center, evacuations (fire drills), teacher issues, student safety hazards with camera investigations.
Event execution (staff coordination, family communication, execution)
Supply and material coordination (delegating flex card adherance)
Daily operational management (broken items, food delivery check, probationary requirements (certificates, dress code, timeliness, citations, cleanliness of shared spaces, school presentation)

Other Requirements:

Fluent English speaker
Proficient Spanish speaker
Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Practice excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
Provide two professional references.
