Full Job Description

Our accounting department exists to provide our customers with the best financial data available, because great financial data leads to great organizations.

We're looking for a self-motivated, high energy, mission oriented Accounting Specialist. Position responsibilities include A/P, A/R, payroll and month-end closing services, as well as other accounting related functions as requested. The right individual for this position will be able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, while maintaining a high level of accounting services and professionalism.

Responsibilities include A/P, A/R, and month-end closing services, as well as other accounting related functions as needed
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Verify and resolve issues and discrepancies
Generate financial statements
Purchasing
Fixed Asset Mangement

Strong work ethic whatever it takes attitude
Proven accounting experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
QuickBooks experience preferred
Purchasing experience preferred
Fixed asset experience preferred
