Our expanding roster of club partners includes some of the world's top venues, delivering performances from globally renowned DJs backed by top-notch sound and visuals. The diverse calendar of events celebrates the electronic dance music community and culture, offering an endless range of experiences.
Insomniac Clubs is a separate entity from Insomniac Events, focused on curating and managing unique nightlife experiences. While we share a passion for music and creating unforgettable experiences, Insomniac Clubs operates independently from Insomniac Events and has its own payroll, benefits and organizational structure.
THE ROLE
The Jr. Operations Manager is responsible for aspects of executing and overseeing activities related to service, club/special event operations, employee administrative duties, guest experiences, and entertainment. This role focuses on training (on the responsibilities listed above) as a vital stepping stone towards becoming an Operations
Manager. The Jr. Operations Manager plays a key supportive role in the smooth, safe and successful operations of the club and special events. The goal of the Jr. Operations manager is to be confident with all departments, service procedures, job duties, POS functions, admin duties, and protocols. This is not a remote position and is required to be on site at our Los Angeles, CA venue and travel to various office and venue locations as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest and Employee Interactions
● Set a positive example through attitude and behavior.
● Provide direction and support to employees following established protocols and guidelines.
● Communicate clearly and frequently with the General Manager, Operations Managers, employees and kitchen (club-specific) before, during, and after the shift to optimize club operations.
● Oversee and guide employee and guest interactions to ensure that service is provided in a manner consistent with the company vision and goals.
● Resolve any dispute regarding service, payment, or other matters on an as-needed basis.
● Identify any potential gaps in service and ensure the smooth execution of all service aspects, including but not limited to verifying that bartender pour counts are correct for drink consistency and excellence.
● The Jr. Operations Manager is responsible for opening, operating and closing for club events while being under the guidance of the General Manager and Operations Manager(s).
Club Aesthetics and Set-Up
● Ensure that the lighting, temperature, music, cleanliness, and other environmental aspects of the clubare suitable for guests.
● Ensure all necessary arrangements are executed as requested.
Admin Responsibilities
● Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to use in the staff performance reviews.
● Responsible for completing and understanding the process of various employee administrative duties, including but not limited to: The Disciplinary Point System, conducting 45/90-day employee reviews, coordinating employee certifications, employee scheduling, assisting with employee onboarding, Table List, server upsells, and employee coach and councils.
● Assist in the training and development of new staff and the admin duties associated with employee communication/training.
● Demonstrate a thorough understanding of club inventory and operational needs, with the ability to effectively coordinate product ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels.
● Assist with employee cash-outs by understanding departmental tip breakdowns, analyzing report details, and ensuring accurate balancing at the end of each shift. This includes the organization and management of tip sheets.
● Assist and understand Payroll, ADP, and Payroll procedures with the assistance of the General Manager.
● The Jr. Operations Manager is responsible for working at the venue during the week to complete any needed duties as well as participate in meetings throughout the week.
POS Functions and Understanding
● Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting POS system issues, accurately executing all POS functions, and completing back-end POS menu set up and adjustments.
Security
● Remain vigilant and attentive to identify any potential security issues in order to uphold the safety and well-being of the staff and guests on site.
● Demonstrate confidence in completing incident reports and communicating/guiding effectively during incidences (with the guidance of the General Manager).
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the employee may be assigned other duties or tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
● 2 years of high volume restaurant or hospitality experience
● Degree in hospitality, business management, or marketing or related experience
● Computer savvy, knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, etc
● Responsible for Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
● Flexible schedule with the willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
● Excellent English comprehension (both written and verbal)
● Ability to work long hours
● Ability to work in loud/bright environments (lasers, flashing lights, etc.)
● Job longevity – long-term tenure within the same company - preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
● Able to stand / walk for long periods of time
● Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments in dynamic work locations
● May work in drastic temperature climates when at venues
● Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events

Hiring Salary Range: $70,500.00 - $75,000.00 USD

It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Exchange takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
Pay: $70,500.00 - $75,000.00 per year
