Senior Business Development Manager – Bulk Chemicals
USCS Logistics
Leominster, Massachusetts
Full-time | New England Territory | Field-Based/Hybrid
Position Overview
USCS Logistics is seeking an experienced, highly connected chemical-industry professional to lead business development throughout New England.
This is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for someone who understands the bulk chemical market, has established relationships within the industry, and can bring new business into our Leominster, Massachusetts facility. The primary objective of this role is to secure customers and chemical volumes that increase utilization of our existing bulk storage tanks, warehouse space, and chemical-handling infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has experience in chemical manufacturing, distribution, industrial sales, bulk storage, terminal operations, logistics, or a closely related field. You should understand how bulk chemicals are purchased, stored, transported, and distributed—and know the decision-makers responsible for those activities.
About USCS Logistics
USCS Logistics provides warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation coordination, and related logistical services to chemical manufacturers and distributors.
Our Leominster facility offers an especially strong growth opportunity because the difficult work is already complete. The location has existing bulk storage tanks, chemical-packaging capabilities, necessary infrastructure, and established operating procedures. We are looking for the right person to turn that existing capacity into meaningful new revenue.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify chemical manufacturers, distributors, importers, blenders, and end users that need bulk chemical storage, warehousing, packaging, fulfillment, or transportation support.
- Develop and execute a New England business development strategy focused on increasing bulk tank utilization and facility revenue.
- Use existing industry relationships to generate qualified opportunities and secure new customers.
- Prospect independently through industry contacts, referrals, trade associations, conferences, telephone outreach, email, and in-person meetings.
- Build relationships with purchasing managers, supply-chain leaders, plant managers, operations executives, and other key decision-makers.
- Learn each prospect’s chemical products, storage requirements, volumes, transportation needs, and operational challenges.
- Work directly with USCS Logistics leadership and facility personnel to develop practical customer solutions.
- Prepare proposals, pricing recommendations, service agreements, and presentations.
- Manage opportunities through the complete sales cycle—from initial contact and facility visit through negotiation, onboarding, and launch.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide regular updates on prospects, projected volumes, expected revenue, and anticipated closing dates.
- Monitor chemical-market activity and identify new products or market segments that fit the facility’s capabilities.
- Represent USCS Logistics professionally at industry events and customer meetings throughout New England.
- Help develop long-term customer relationships that create recurring revenue and dependable chemical volumes.

- Strong organizational, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout New England and visit the Leominster facility as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
