Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

CNC Programming & Technical Support

· Create, modify, verify, and optimize CNC programs for production machining.

· Review CAD drawings, engineering prints, and technical specifications.

· Perform calculations to determine cutting paths, tool offsets, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.

· Develop geometric layouts and machining strategies using appropriate CAD/CAM software.

· Determine the proper sequence of machining operations to maximize efficiency and quality.

· Select appropriate cutting tools, tooling, fixtures, and work holding for each application.

· Conduct program simulations, prove-outs, and test run prior to production release.

· Troubleshoot, revise, and improve existing CNC programs to reduce cycle times and improve part quality.

· Optimize setup procedures and machining processes for complex components.

· Evaluate completed programs to ensure they meet customer specifications while reducing manufacturing costs and lead times.

· Monitor CNC operations to ensure compliance with blueprints, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Production Support

· Train and support machinists on CNC programs, tooling, setups, and machining techniques.

· Provide technical assistance to production personnel during setup and troubleshooting.

· Collaborate with engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

· Monitor machine performance and recommend process improvements.

· Verify finished parts through inspections and process validation.

· Support manufacturing priorities in the following order:

5. Inventory

· Maintain effective communication with production personnel, engineering, maintenance, and management.

· Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

· Enter production data and job completion information into the ERP system.

· Recommend and implement improvements that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

· Develop, execute, and document preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules.

· Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.

· Maintain organized work areas and comply with company safety policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming principles.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and blueprints.

· Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.

· Knowledge of machining parameters including feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and work holding.

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

· Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues efficiently.

· Excellent communication and training skills.

· Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $25.65 - $26.74 per hour
