Full Job Description

Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Armed Security Officer to join our team. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents and their assets. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.

Duties:

- Interact in a professional and courteous manner to all residents and visitors who enter into the River Hills community
- Provide armed security services to the River Hills community and all of its residents and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter and detect any suspicious activities
- Monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents and take appropriate action, including emergency response procedures if necessary
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering the premises
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of all security-related incidents or activities
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

Skills:

- Exceptional customer service skills

- Ability to be a Team player
- Proficient in first aid and CPR procedures
- Excellent communications skills
- Experience operating CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment
- Possession of relevant security certifications or licenses (e.g., armed security guard certificate)
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively

Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in criminal justice or related field preferred
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to perform essential job functions, including standing for long periods, walking long distances, and occasional lifting or carrying heavy objects
