Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Night Shift Nurse Manager (RN) to lead nursing operations at a correctional facility. This vital role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and managing a dedicated nursing team. The Nurse Manager will coordinate patient care, supervise clinical staff, and implement policies that promote safety, efficiency, and excellence in healthcare delivery during night hours. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the nursing team during night shifts, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and wound care to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Coordinate with medical providers to facilitate diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, and emergency interventions as needed.
Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications, including IV infusions, catheter care supplies, and sterile processing protocols.
Implement infection control procedures and uphold safety standards in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
Conduct staff training on clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, suturing, airway management, and use of medical equipment like ventilators or neonatal ventilators when applicable.

Qualifications

Valid RN license with current state registration; previous supervisory or nurse management experience preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in acute care settings such as hospital medicine, ICU, or emergency medicine; experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and documentation standards.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to correctional health care.
Experience managing diverse patient populations including individuals with behavioral health needs or developmental disabilities.
Ability to perform complex patient assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations accurately.
Excellent leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing teams; capable of managing staffing schedules and performance evaluations.
Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile technique, medication administration protocols including injections and IV insertions.
