Fabtration is now hiring a full-time plasma table and water jet programmer/operator!
Job Overview: A CNC (computer numerically controlled) Programmer/Plasma Table Operator will work with machinery which cuts raw materials into functional items. They are responsible for interpreting project blueprints, designing programs and setting up the machines. They must perform test runs and make adjustments until the resulting product meets blueprint specifications. At Fabtration you will be working on programs such as AutoCAD & Columbus for our ESAB Plasma Cutter. Experience with these programs is preferred but not required. Operation of the plasma table and water jet will include placing steel on the tables using forklifts and overhead cranes. Experience with plasma tables and waterjet machines is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
- Interpretation of project blueprints, designing programs and setting up machines to produce the component outlined in specific program
- Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
- Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Capable of reading a tape measure down to 1/16"
- General computer knowledge
- Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds for short periods of time.

- Techni waterjet
- Sabre Plasma table
- Overhead cranes
- forklifts
Experience is beneficial but not necessary; we train all new employees.
Shifts & Hours of Operation:
FULL TIME: Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m., Overtime available.
Pay: Our starting pay ranges between $20-$23 an hour BOE.
Our pay is based on experience. Each candidate will be scheduled to come in for an interview. The interview will give the employer an idea for experience the candidate has, as well as an opportunity for the candidate to experience the environment and scope of work expected.
