Brief Job Description:
The Financial Compliance Manager performs highly complex (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Financial Reporting and Audit Coordination (FRAC) department’s Financial Compliance team within Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) as it pertains to Agreed Upon Procedures engagements, contractual remedies, and review of specific financial documentation the team oversees. This position oversees a team of three and reports to the Director of Financial Compliance. Work will entail establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; conducting staff training; coordinating and evaluating business function, division, or department activities. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
35% Oversees the team’s Agreed Upon Procedures engagements
20% Oversees the review of the team’s assigned financial documentation
20% Provide direction and implementation of contractual remedies to address reporting deficiencies of the health plans.
10% Conducts training
10% Develops and updates guidelines, policies, and procedures for the work.
5% Leads cross-departmental workgroups to coordinate workflow revisions and staff training to align efforts.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the position such as accounting, finance, business administration, government administration, or law. Applicable work experience may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis.
