Do you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a positive, energetic environment? Performing Arts Studio is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated Front Desk Coordinator to join our team!
Our front desk is the heart of our studio. This role is often the first and last interaction our dancers and families have each day, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service while helping keep the studio running smoothly behind the scenes.
This is not a traditional receptionist position. It's an active role that requires someone who enjoys staying busy, interacting with people, solving problems, and jumping in wherever needed to support our team.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM – 8:30 PMFriday: 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Occasional Saturdays and additional hours may be available for studio events, performances, recitals, camps, and special activities.
What You'll Do
Every day is a little different, but responsibilities include:
- Welcome dancers, families, and visitors with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Answer phones, emails, and general questions about classes, schedules, and studio policies.
- Assist families with registration, account questions, and payments.
- Process retail merchandise and dancewear sales.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front lobby and common areas.
- Open and prepare the studio for evening operations and assist with closing responsibilities each night.
- Restock studio supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other essentials.
- Empty trash and help keep classrooms, restrooms, and common spaces clean and ready for the next day.
- Help monitor dancer behavior in the lobby and common areas, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Communicate with instructors and directors throughout the evening.
- Assist with administrative projects and day-to-day studio operations.
- Help classes transition smoothly and keep the studio running efficiently during busy evenings.
- Pitch in wherever needed to create an outstanding experience for our dancers and families.

Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service or receptionist experience
- Retail or point-of-sale experience
- Experience working with children
- Dance studio, education, fitness, hospitality, or office experience is a plus—but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb a step stool, and move supplies as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Availability
Availability during recital week, studio events, and other major performances is strongly preferred.
Additional hours may be available throughout the year for camps, special events, office projects, and other studio needs.
Compensation
Hourly pay: Competitive and based on experience.
