Job Title: Personal Injury Legal Assistant/Receptionist
Georgetown, DE
We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant/Receptionist with Personal Injury experience to bring unparalleled support to our clients and team. If you:
· thrive in a fast-paced and exciting work environment
· strive to provide superior support to our attorneys and staff
· are passionate about delivering an exemplary client experience
· consistently surpass expectations and deliver exceptional work and service
· embrace an unwavering standard of excellence, integrity, compassion and accessibility
Then we want to hear from you!
What You Can Expect:
We are seeking a meticulous, proactive, and highly organized Legal Assistant/Receptionist with personal injury experience to join our growing team. In this position, you'll be instrumental in supporting our attorneys and legal staff firm-wide in all our practice areas. This role offers the chance to be part of a solid foundation of a rapidly growing firm and allows you the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the firm’s quality client service.
Here’s an example of what our Legal Assistant/Receptionist might do in a day:
- Client Care and Communication: You're our first stop for clients in many different facets. You will be responsible for answering the phones, speaking with clients to gather case-related information, complete intakes, answer questions, and direct our clients accordingly. You will play an important role in guiding our clients through their personal injury case from start to finish. You will communicate with clients regularly to gather case-related information, answer questions, provide updates, and help them understand what to expect throughout the process.
- Case Management: Personal injury cases involve a lot of moving pieces, and you will help make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will assist with managing an active caseload, maintaining accurate and organized electronic case files, tracking important deadlines and case milestones, and making sure each file continues to move forward. This may include requesting and organizing medical records and bills, monitoring treatment, communicating with insurance companies and providers, and following up on outstanding items. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple cases and priorities at once.
- Litigation Support: When a case moves into litigation, you will help support the attorney through the litigation process. Responsibilities may include preparing and organizing litigation files, assisting with discovery, coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, gathering documents and information, tracking deadlines, preparing for depositions and hearings, and assisting with trial preparation. You will help ensure that the attorney has what they need and that important deadlines and details are never overlooked.
- Team Support and Case Ownership: Our team works together, and everyone pitches in when needed. While you will have primary responsibility for your assigned cases, there will be times when you are asked to jump in and support another team member, help with a time-sensitive task, or take something across the finish line. We value people who are proactive, resourceful, and willing to figure things out rather than simply saying, "That's not my job." You don't need to know everything on day one—we are looking for someone who is willing to learn, asks good questions, takes ownership, and genuinely cares about doing excellent work for our clients.
What We Will Ask of You:
- Commitment to Law Office of Trapp Nicholl and the clients we serve.
- Willing to go the extra mile for our team members and clients.
- A positive, friendly, and empathetic attitude.
- Proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
- An eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Our firm is flourishing, so we need someone who is:
· Experienced in Personal Injury/Worker’s Compensation
· Reliable and team-oriented
· An excellent written and verbal communicator
· The ability to work independently, but also works well as part of a team
· Organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
· Self-motivated and takes initiative without constant direction
· Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Available M-F 8:30 – 4:30

- Perks and Pay: Pay is commensurate with experience. Remember when we said we respect your time? We are proud to offer a generous PTO package including paid holidays, (yes, even your birthday because we believe there’s always a reason to celebrate you!) flexible time, and vacation days.
