Worship Pastor (Part-Time)
10–15 hours per week
About Hutto Community Church
At Hutto Community Church, our mission is simple: Change Lives. Change Eternities. We exist to help people take their next step with Jesus, whether they're walking into church for the first time or have followed Him for years.
We're looking for someone who loves Jesus, loves people, and believes worship is about leading others into the presence of God—not putting on a performance. If you're passionate about building teams, developing volunteers, and creating an environment where people can genuinely worship, we'd love to meet you.
Position Summary
The Worship Pastor serves alongside the Lead Pastor to create meaningful, Christ-centered worship experiences each Sunday and at special church events. This person will recruit, shepherd, and develop both the worship and production teams while helping cultivate a culture where worship is authentic, Spirit-led, and rooted in God's Word.
This is a part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week.
Who We're Looking For
We're praying for someone who:
- Has a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Meets the biblical character qualifications for church leadership (1 Timothy 3:1–7).
- Loves people as much as they love music.
- Has a servant's heart and works well as part of a team.
- Is teachable, humble, and eager to continue growing personally and spiritually.
- Can lead worship in a way that is engaging, authentic, and focused on Christ rather than performance.
- Has the ability to recruit, encourage, coach, and care for volunteers.
- Communicates well with both musicians and church leadership.
- Is flexible and comfortable adapting when plans change or when the Holy Spirit leads in unexpected ways.
- Is proficient on at least one instrument and able to lead vocally.
- Has a working knowledge of Planning Center and presentation software such as ProPresenter. Experience with OBS, Playback, or similar platforms is helpful but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Worship
- Plan and lead engaging, Christ-centered worship services each Sunday.
- Work with the Lead Pastor to create worship gatherings that reinforce the biblical message of the day.

Build the Team
- Recruit, develop, and disciple musicians and production volunteers.
- Create a culture where people are encouraged, equipped, and growing in both skill and faith.
- Schedule volunteers and communicate clearly throughout the week using Planning Center.
Prepare for Sunday

- Prepare and review ProPresenter slides and other service elements before Sunday.
- Lead rehearsals that are organized, encouraging, and focused on both excellence and worship.
Invest in Church Life
- Be an active part of the Hutto Community Church family by participating/serving in a Small Group, special events, and serving opportunities.
- Assist with worship for special services and church events throughout the year as needed.
- Attend Ministry Team meetings and collaborate with church leadership.
What Success Looks Like
A successful Worship Pastor at Hutto Community Church is someone who:
- Loves Jesus deeply and leads from that relationship.
- Helps people encounter God through authentic worship.
- Builds healthy teams instead of doing ministry alone.
- Leads with humility, joy, and excellence.
- Creates an environment where volunteers feel valued, equipped, and excited to serve.
