About The Job You’re Considering

The Associate Copy Editor / Proofreader is responsible for ensuring written content is clear, consistent, accurate, and publication-ready. This role involves refining draft materials to meet quality standards for grammar, style, tone, and accessibility across a variety of publications and delivery platforms. The position requires flexibility to work across a diverse delivery landscape, including Agile application development, support, and deployment environments.

Your Role

Review, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and credibility
Correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors
Ensure content meets editorial standards and is accessible to its intended audience
Prepare copy for publication across multiple formats and platforms
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments
Manage assigned workload efficiently and provide regular status updates to management
Support application-related documentation, testing, training materials, and release communications as needed

Your Skills and Experience

1–3 years of relevant professional experience
Strong copy editing and proofreading skills
Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax knowledge
Ability to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and credibility of content
Attention to detail and high standards for written quality
Ability to prepare content for publication across multiple formats
Familiarity with editorial style guides and content standards
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Flexibility to work across Agile development, support, and deployment environments
Basic understanding of application services and technical documentation
Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $43,984 - $105,600

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
