Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $125,000 per year + up to $20,000 annual performance bonus
Total Potential Compensation: $145,000 annually
Job Description
Triumph Private Home Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare operations leader to join our team as Executive Director of Operations.
We are looking for a Georgia-licensed RN who has progressed beyond traditional clinical management into senior agency leadership and understands what it takes to operate and grow a successful home care organization.
The ideal candidate has previous experience as an Administrator, Executive Director, Director/VP of Operations, DON, Regional Director, or similar senior leadership position within home health, private duty nursing, pediatric home care, or a related healthcare organization.
This is not simply a clinical management position. We are looking for an experienced operator who understands the clinical, operational, financial, regulatory, staffing, and growth sides of home care.
The right person will work closely with ownership to strengthen our current operation, develop our leadership team, improve accountability and efficiency, maintain strong compliance standards, and build the infrastructure necessary for continued growth.
The position is modeled around the type of broad RN executive experience reflected in the resume provided: agency operations, clinical oversight, staffing, financial management, compliance, QAPI, HR, billing/collections, business development, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight of day-to-day company operations and work closely with ownership and senior leadership.
- Lead and support clinical, administrative, intake, scheduling, staffing, and operational teams.
- Evaluate current operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, quality, and profitability.
- Develop and implement scalable systems, workflows, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Establish clear responsibilities and accountability across departments and leadership positions.
- Develop, mentor, and hold managers accountable for departmental performance.
- Monitor key operational and financial performance indicators and provide regular reporting to ownership.
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure high standards of patient care, documentation, and clinical oversight.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state, federal, Medicaid, and company requirements.
- Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, internal audits, and corrective action processes.
- Ensure clinical documentation, care planning, supervisory requirements, and other compliance activities are completed accurately and timely.
- Evaluate staffing needs, recruitment, retention, scheduling efficiency, open cases, and unfilled authorized hours.
- Work with leadership to improve employee retention and build a strong clinical workforce.
- Monitor revenue, payroll, expenses, billing, collections, staffing utilization, and profitability.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity and margins.
- Maintain strong relationships with patients, families, employees, physicians, case managers, referral sources, and community partners.
- Participate in business development, market expansion, new service opportunities, and strategic planning.
- Help build an organizational structure capable of supporting continued company growth.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active, unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Significant professional nursing and healthcare experience
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare leadership or management experience
- Previous leadership experience within home health, private duty nursing, pediatric home care, or a closely related healthcare setting
- Experience managing clinical teams and healthcare operations
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, quality assurance, staffing, and patient care operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, implement processes, solve operational problems, and hold others accountable
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of company-level objectives
Strongly Preferred:
- 10+ years of healthcare experience
- Previous experience as an Administrator, Executive Director, Director/VP of Operations, DON, Regional Director, or similar senior leadership position
- Experience with Georgia Medicaid, GAPP, pediatric private duty nursing, or Medicaid-funded home care
- Experience with QAPI, regulatory audits, corrective action plans, and compliance management
- Experience overseeing both clinical and administrative departments
- Experience managing multiple locations, markets, or teams
- Experience with budgeting, payroll, billing, collections, forecasting, and/or P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated success growing patient census, revenue, or service territory while maintaining quality and compliance
- Experience building and developing management teams
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for more than an experienced nurse.
We want a healthcare executive who happens to be an RN—someone who understands excellent patient care but also understands how to operate a business.
The right candidate should be able to enter an organization and quickly identify:
Where are we losing time? Where are we losing money? Where are our compliance risks? Where is accountability unclear? What systems need to improve? What needs to change for the organization to operate successfully at twice its current size?
Most importantly, we want someone who can turn those answers into a plan and execute it.
This position requires someone who can think strategically while remaining willing to get involved in the details when necessary. The long-term goal is not for this person to personally manage every task—it is to build the people, systems, and accountability necessary for the organization to operate effectively as it grows.
Compensation
Base Salary: $125,000 per year
This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to $20,000, bringing total potential compensation to:
$145,000 annually
Performance will be evaluated based on areas including company growth and profitability, operational efficiency, compliance and quality, staffing and retention, leadership development, and completion of strategic objectives.
Specific goals and performance expectations will be established with ownership and reviewed throughout the year.
